Ambassador Yin Lixian holds Reception Marking the Assumption of Office

 On Dec 19th, 2014, The new Chinese ambassador to Seychelles Madame Yin Lixian held a reception marking her assumption of office in Seychelles. Among guests at the reception were Vice-President Danny Faure, the Minister for Foreign Affairs Jean-Paul Adam, the Minister for Home Affairs and Transport, Joel Morgan and other government and Chinese dignitaries.

        

In her speech, Ambassador praised highly of the friendly cooperation relation between China and Seychelles. She said that since Seychelles and China established diplomatic relations, the friendship between a small developing country and a big one has developed smoothly and become a role model. She expressed her heartfelt thanks and deepest respect for all the friends who have contributed to this relation, and whom she is ready to work with to bring it to a new level.

As representative of Seychelles side, Minister Adam said it was a great pleasure to officially welcome and celebrate her excellency ambassador Yin Lixian in Seychelles. He especially appreciated the outstanding contributions China has made to Seychelles in various fields like infrastructure building, military aid, and capacity building. He also expressed that the Seychelles side will work together with the Chinese side to fortify their relations and consolidate their friendship. 

      

    During the reception Minister Morgan announced that Seychelles is working closely with the Chinese civil aviation authority to introduce direct flights to Beijing for the Chinese New Year in 2015 to enable Chinese tourists to come celebrate in Seychelles.
