New Chinese Ambassador to Seychelles H.E. GUO Wei Presents Credentials to President Danny Faure

On 23 October 2018, the new Chinese ambassador to Seychelles H.E. Mme. GUO Wei presented credentials to President Danny Faure at the State House.

Ambassador Guo conveyed cordial greetings from President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang to President Danny Faure. She also extended the best wishes from the Chinese government and people to the government and people of Seychelles. She said during her tenure, she will dedicate herself to strengthening China-Seychelles relations, promoting bilateral cooperation and enhancing friendship between the two peoples.

President Faure warmly welcomed Ambassador Guo to Seychelles. He spoke highly of Seychelles-China friendly cooperative relations and appreciated the strong support that China has provided to Seychelles. The President said Seychelles will provide all necessary assistance and convenience to the Ambassador during her tenure and looks forward to making joints efforts with her to pushing bilateral relations to a new high.

Following the accreditation ceremony, Ambassador Guo paid a courtesy visit to Vice President Vincent Meriton and met with the local media.

Also present at the events were Political Counselor of the Embassy Mr. GUO Zhen Guang and head of the political section Mr. TANG Kuancheng.
